Project name: Escape from Disaster!!
Disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, bombings, political upheavals, and different acts of terrorism have unfortunately taken place in Asia. Thailand faced a severe flood at the end of 2011, and prior to that, Japan experienced a significant earthquake. This workshop is derived from the concept of restoration and the use of art to explore the possibility of revival. Using performing arts as a tool to explore, the workshop conducts escape drills, exploring the institutions’ roles in relation to community’s education through drama theory.
This workshop presented a story with a humorous plot that uses narratives to experiment with interpersonal relationships. Realizing the significance of educational organizations in raising awareness and providing crucial information, the workshop designates the school to serve as the community’s hub. It also emphasizes on young people's crisis management skills to encourage them to imagine how different catastrophic situations could be handled when they arise.
